Job summary

QJumpers Recruitment Services is seeking a customer-focused administrator to join our on-site team in Auckland. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling inquiries and reservations with care and accuracy.

The role requires excellent communication, strong time management, and the ability to work across shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Experience with Restaurant Diary or Roller systems is a plus, with full training provided.

Job description

About the role:

We’re seeking a customer-focused individual with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences to join our dynamic administration team on a fixed term basis (parental leave cover). In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests via phone, email, and in person, managing enquiries and reservations with efficiency, accuracy, and care. This is a fast-paced, guest-focused position that demands excellent communication and time management skills. Full weekend availability is essential, as the successful candidate will work across a variety of shifts between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, including weekends and public holidays. Please note, the role is located on-site, not remote. The roster rotates across three locations, and most shifts will finish in the late evenings. As a business operating year-round, reliability and flexibility are key.

The ideal candidate will have / be:

• a guest-focused professional with a confident telephone manner, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, and strong time management abilities.
• previous experience in a similar role, allowing you to hit the ground running.
• working knowledge of the Restaurant Diary reservation system and Roller system is preferred, but full training will be provided.
• the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering exceptional customer service.
• competent computer skills and strong attention to detail, ensuring bookings are accurate and all information is received and communicated promptly.
