Job summary

Avani Queenstown Shores Resort is seeking a Hotel Receptionist to join the team on a full-time basis. You will warmly welcome guests and guide them through check-ins and check-outs, while sharing local tips on attractions and eateries to ensure a memorable stay.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will maintain polished communication across channels, handle reservations, and provide personalised recommendations to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 0-6 months experience in a similar role delivering high-quality service within a hotel or resort environment.
• Background in delivering high-quality service within a hotel, hospitality, or customer-facing environment.
• Consistently delivers an exceptional standard of service, proactive and positive in addressing guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and friendly reception to guests upon arrival with a smooth check-in.
• Maintain clear communication with guests, colleagues and stakeholders via in-person, phone and email.
• Oversee accurate processing of reservations, updates and special requests using a PMS.
• Act as a primary contact for guests, offer prompt assistance and personalised recommendations.
