Job summary

AEC Hardware, operating Mitre 10 MEGA Ferrymead and Mitre 10 MEGA Prestons, is seeking a Group Retail Manager to lead customer experiences, retail performance, profitability and leadership capability across both stores. Reporting to the CEO, you will be on the retail floor, coaching Zone Leaders and Team Leaders, and ensuring standards are consistently achieved.

• Experience leading multi-site retail operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive sales and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead two Mitre 10 MEGA stores across Ferrymead and Prestons.
• Drive customer experience standards and service excellence.
• Implement operating standards, routines and accountability.
• Manage labour productivity and wage budgets.
• Coach and develop Team Leaders to achieve strong results.
• Identify growth, margin, and productivity opportunities.
• Collaborate with Inventory, Merchandising and Marketing to execute strategies.
• Address underperformance and support succession planning.

AEC Hardware, proudly operating Mitre 10 MEGA Ferrymead andMitre 10 MEGA Prestons, is seeking an exceptional Group Retail Manager to lead customerexperience, retail performance, profitability, and leadership capability acrossboth stores.

This is not a traditional retail management role.

This is a highly visible leadership position designed forsomeone who enjoys being on the retail floor, developing leaders, drivingperformance, and creating consistency across multiple locations.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership ofall retail performance outcomes across both Mitre 10 MEGA stores.

You will lead and develop our Zone Leaders and Team Leaderswhile ensuring customer experience, sales growth, gross profit performance,labour productivity, and retail execution standards are consistently achieved.

Being a part of the company’s senior leadership team, youwill be accountable for the overall retail performance of both stores. Successin this role will come through your ability to build on a positive inclusiveculture that also develops leaders, creates accountability, and achieves sales,profit, and customer service goals.

• Supportingsuccession planning and leadership development initiatives.
• Workingclosely with Inventory, Merchandise, and Marketing managers to executeretail strategies.
• Identifyingand addressing underperformance, capability, and customer service gapsplus operational challenges.
