Job summary

Ferg Foods Limited – Queenstown, South Island invites applications for Grill Chefs to join the iconic Fergburger team. Based in beautiful Queenstown, you will prepare ingredients, cook on grills and fryers, and assemble dishes according to Fergburger recipes.

You will monitor quality, maintain menu knowledge, and ensure safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen. Great team, growth opportunities and staff perks included.

Qualifications

• 6 months of relevant experience
• Must be available to work a range of different shifts between 6am and 3:30am on a rotating roster
• Full-time hours 40-45 per week (minimum 30 hours)

Responsibilities

• Preparing, portioning and cooking food to Fergburger's specifications
• Monitor the quality and presentation of all food leaving the grill station to a high standard
• Maintain full menu knowledge
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen
• Operate grills and fryers efficiently and safely
• Ensure food is correctly stored and handled
• Prepare food to meet dietary requirements for customers
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards and processes
• Be a positive team player collaborating with Back and Front of House for smooth kitchen operations

• Working to advised food safety and hygiene standards and processes
• Be a positive team player and work with both Back and Front of house teams to ensure effective, efficient running of the kitchen
