Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Grid Integration Engineer to join our client in Queenstown, NZ, supporting grid operations and renewable energy deployment. You will analyze interconnection studies and help design grid connections for new energy assets.

You will work with grid operators and developers, applying power system analysis tools and staying current with grid codes. This role offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities to advance in cutting-edge grid technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Perform grid interconnection studies including power flow, short circuit and stability analyses.
Develop technical requirements for connecting renewable energy projects to the grid.
Collaborate with renewable developers, grid operators and equipment manufacturers.
Contribute to design and implementation of grid upgrades and enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve grid integration and power quality issues.
Stay updated with evolving grid codes, standards and best practices.
