Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to grid infrastructure projects in Queenstown. You will design, plan, and implement electrical networks, substations, and related infrastructure to ensure reliable power delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems and grid infrastructure.
• Pr. Eng. registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for substations, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Conduct power system studies including load forecasting, fault analysis, and protection scheme design.
• Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of grid equipment.
• Ensure designs and installations comply with national and international standards and grid codes.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Collaborate with utility providers, contractors, and stakeholders to hit milestones.
