Job summary

Megaport is seeking a Go backend engineer to join the Platform Engineering team in a remote-first role for NZ/Australia residents. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs, microservices, and tooling that power our engineering organization on Kubernetes/EKS.

You should have proven Go experience, Kubernetes, RESTful services, and a passion for building internal tools and platform-as-a-product. Opportunity to influence architecture and scale as we grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent required.
• Proven backend experience with Go and building services on Kubernetes.
• Strong skills in REST, microservices, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Internal Developer Tooling and Go-based APIs, microservices, and CLI tools.
• Engineer scalable automation to orchestrate workflows between systems and SaaS platforms.
• Implement Governance-as-Code for repository and service oversight.
