Job summary

SecuritEase International seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend development for our fintech platform. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot, and build secure RESTful APIs to support global customers.

You will work with Kafka/RabbitMQ, Postgres and NoSQL stores, manage data workflows with Airflow, and ensure quality through JUnit/Mockito tests. Collaborating with a small, global team, you can be based remotely in New Zealand or Australia

Qualifications

• Strong Java back-end experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Experience with relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (Cassandra/OpenSearch/Pinot) databases.
• Hands-on CI/CD and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Java.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate messaging systems.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to deliver high-performance systems.
• Manage data workflows with Kafka and Airflow.
