Job summary

Megaport, a global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), is seeking a Backend Engineer (Go) to join the Platform Engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain internal tooling and high‑performance Go APIs running on Kubernetes/EKS, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve developer productivity.

Candidates should have proven Go backend experience, Kubernetes, RESTful services, AWS, and a passion for Platform as a Product.

Qualifications

• Proven Go backend development experience.
• Experience building services on Kubernetes and in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and CI/CD tooling.
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows and security best practices.
• Interest in Platform as a Product and developer tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal tooling and high‑performance Go APIs.
• Build scalable automation and governance‑as‑code tooling.
• Create self‑service infrastructure interfaces for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deploy and optimize backend systems on Kubernetes.
• Profile and tune performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
