The Good Source in Auckland, NZ, is seeking a Software Engineer for an office-based role in our Engineering department. You will build Go services that communicate via gRPC and GraphQL, on AWS with Fargate, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and more.

Qualifications

• Deploy on AWS (Fargate, Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3) and monitor with Datadog.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to replace legacy systems.

Software Engineer - Auckland, NZ (office based role)

Join an AI-native Fin-tech platform for replacing legacy systems with modern software.

Since launching, the company has grown rapidly and just completed their Series A capital raise. We are looking for smart, ambitious people to help build a global business.

Role summary

You will develop services in Go that communicate Protobuf messages over gRPC and through a GraphQL gateway. You'll build on top of AWS cloud infrastructure, leveraging services such as Fargate, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and more.

Technology

• Linear (Jira is officially banned)

You might work on

• The AI Agent, implementing new skills, dependent tools, maintaining and improving evals.
• Launching the platform into completely new markets and developing for specific requirements.
• Building distribution infrastructure that calculates and facilitates billions of dollars of transactional volume.

Requirements

• Go/Golang: 2 years commercial experience
• Strong preferences regarding agentic coding workflows, tools, models
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering (or similar)
• Right to work in New Zealand
