Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design and develop automotive components, create 3D CAD models, perform advanced FEA simulations, and ensure compliance with ISO/SAE standards.

Strong collaboration with a global team is essential. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and at least five years in automotive design, with proficiency in CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, ANSYS and Abaqus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in automotive.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and advanced FEA tools; ISO/SAAE standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for automotive applications.
• Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and product specifications.
• Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analyses using FEA tools.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation.
