Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Mechanical Systems Analyst for a fully remote role. The position focuses on evaluating performance, reliability, and safety of complex mechanical systems using FEA and CFD, with collaboration across a globally distributed team from anywhere in the world, including Queenstown-based projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years in analytics and simulation, and strong Python scripting for automation.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical systems analysis and simulation.
• Proficiency with FEA/CFD software and scripting in Python.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical systems analysis using FEA and CFD.
• Develop and validate simulation models for various operating conditions.
• Analyze test data and correlate results with simulations.
• Identify design weaknesses and propose improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings remotely.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.
• Stay updated on latest simulation technologies and best practices.
