Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Electronics Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design ECUs, develop firmware in C/C++, and create PCB layouts while ensuring conformance to automotive safety standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers, delivering robust electronic systems for modern vehicles from a remote-enabled setup. Strong embedded skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive electronics design and development.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence).
Strong MCU architecture, embedded software (C/C++), and automotive comms.

Responsibilities

Design and develop ECUs and related automotive electronic systems.
Create schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware for automotive applications.
Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and testing to verify design integrity.
Collaborate with software, mechanical engineering and system architects.
Develop and execute test plans for electronic components and systems including EMC/EMI.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electronics hardware and firmware issues.
Ensure designs comply with ISO 26262 and other automotive standards.
Manage design documentation and BOMs.
Stay updated with advances in automotive electronics and embedded tech.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
