Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of complex mechanical systems. This fully remote role supports a globally distributed team, with collaboration across international sites and time zones.

You will use SolidWorks, ANSYS and MATLAB for design, simulations, and verification, mentor juniors, and drive projects from concept to production while delivering high quality, reliable solutions in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard CAD/CAE software (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex engineering projects and delivering successful outcomes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, adapted for remote interaction.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Utilize advanced 3D CAD and CAE tools for detailed design, simulation, and analysis (FEA, CFD).
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams through digital collaboration platforms.
• Develop comprehensive technical specifications, design documentation, and test plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables for assigned engineering tasks in a remote setting.
