Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Design Engineer specialized in Aerospace to design and analyze airframes, propulsion, and landing gear from a home office.

You will use CATIA/SolidWorks and FEA/CFD to deliver compliant aerospace components while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across global sites.

Master's degree and 6+ years of experience are required; this is a fully remote role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in aerospace mechanical design.
• Extensive experience with CATIA/SolidWorks and FEA/CFD tools.
• In-depth knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations (FAA/EASA).
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze aerospace mechanical components and systems, such as airframes, propulsion systems, and landing gear.
• Utilize CAD/CAE tools for detailed 3D modeling, simulation, and stress analysis of aerospace structures.
• Ensure designs meet stringent aerospace standards, including safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with a remote, cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and project managers.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and manufacturing drawings.
• Stay current with emerging aerospace technologies and materials to propose innovative design improvements.
