Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Automotive Software Engineer to join its innovative engineering team. In this fully remote role, you will design, develop, and implement software for next-generation vehicle systems, collaborating with a distributed team of engineers and product managers.

You should have a strong background in embedded software, C++ and Python, and familiarity with automotive protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in embedded software development, preferably within the automotive industry.
Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, JIRA, Agile).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test robust software components for automotive applications (e.g., infotainment, ADAS, powertrain control).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture.
Implement software using C++ and Python, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting of complex software issues.
Optimize software performance for real-time embedded systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
