Job summary

The Sebel Auckland Manukau is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Front Office Manager, lead a small team, and deliver exceptional, friendly service that creates memorable guest journeys.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in hospitality, strong English, Front Office experience with Opera PMS, and a current Manager’s Certificate. A rotating shift, full driver’s license, and a proactive, guest-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry.
• Strong administrative abilities and fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proficient in Front Office procedures and Opera PMS.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Front Office Manager in daily operations and guest services.
• Manage a small team and ensure efficient, friendly service across shifts.
• Drive guest satisfaction and staff development through proactive leadership.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth guest journeys.
• Train, empower and support the team to deliver exceptional service.
