New World Havelock North, part of Foodstuffs North Island, is seeking an experienced Fresh Foods Manager to lead our fresh departments and deliver outstanding quality, presentation and customer service across fresh food areas.

This key leadership role oversees daily operations of all fresh departments, and requires strong leadership, hands-on approach, and a commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. Location is Hawke’s Bay, Havelock North, North Island.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a supermarket or fresh foods environment.
• Strong team leadership and development abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Hands-on approach with a solid work ethic.
• Solid understanding of food safety and compliance requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-dayoperations of all fresh departments (Butchery, Produce, Seafood, Bakery,etc.)
• Leading, motivating, anddeveloping team members
• Ensuring high standards ofproduct quality, availability, and presentation
• Providing oversight and supportto managers in managing stock levels, ensuring accurate orderingpractices, and implementing strategies to minimise waste.
• Driving sales and achievingdepartment targets
• Maintaining food safety andhealth & safety compliance
