Job summary

New World Pioneer is seeking a dynamic Fresh Foods Manager to lead and elevate our fresh departments. You will join our senior leadership team and drive transformation across a busy supermarket environment in Palmerston North and surrounding Manawatū-Whanganui region.

You will lead Fresh Department Managers, drive stock control and supplier management, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while coaching your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in supermarket department management (fresh foods experience highly valued).
• Proven leadership skills – able to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy (SAP experience an advantage).

Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 9.30am - 6.00pm

Remuneration will be discussed at interview stage and will depend on experience.
