Job summary

Team Global Express in New Plymouth is seeking a Freight Operator for the morning shift to load and unload freight, scan, sort and move goods safely and on time. This hands-on role is fast-paced and teamwork-driven.

The position requires a clean NZ Class 1 license, forklift license with OSH cert, and a strong, customer-focused attitude. NZ work eligibility and pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 1 License is mandatory.
• Forklift license with OSH cert is mandatory.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement is advantageous.
• Customer-focused attitude required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Experience driving on NZ roads preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely for road and rail units.
• Use On-time system to scan freight efficiently.
• Operate equipment safely and proficiently.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Morning Shift:

Monday – Friday 3.30am – 11.30am

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

In this hands‑on role, you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – it's fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

Key Duties

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have
• Forklift License with OSH cert – must have
