Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is hiring a Freight Operator for our New Plymouth branch. The role involves loading/unloading freight, scanning and sorting, and keeping operations moving safely and on time. It is a fast-paced, physical role requiring teamwork and a strong focus on safety.

You will hold a full NZ Class 1 license, a forklift license with OSH cert, and ideally a Dangerous Goods endorsement. Duties include safe handling of freight and effective communication within the team.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have.
• Forklift License with OSH cert – must have.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement – ideal.
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment.
