Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Freight Operator for our New Plymouth branch. The role involves loading/unloading freight, scanning and sorting to keep operations moving safely and on time in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a full NZ Class 1 license with forklift OSH certification and a Dangerous Goods endorsement, plus strong communication and teamwork skills for a nationwide logistics network.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License with Forklift License (OSH cert) and Dangerous Goods Endorsement.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely for road and rail units.
• Use On-time to scan freight efficiently and maintain branch objectives.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Morning Shift: Monday – Friday 3.30am – 11.30am

About the role

Mō te tūranga In this hands-on role, you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – its’ a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment.

What will you bring?

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have Forklift License with OSH cert – must have Dangerous Good Endorsement – ideal Customer-focused attitude
