Job summary

Persol in New Zealand is seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a leading warehouse and distribution team in Auckland. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, load and unload trucks, move stock, and prepare customer orders in a safe, efficient warehouse.

We offer weekly pay at NZD 26-27 per hour, Monday to Friday, ongoing training, stable work, a safety-focused environment, up to 40 hours per week, and access to EAP support.

Qualifications

• Previous counterbalance forklift experience.
• Current forklift licence or certification advantageous.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Clean Ministry of Justice record (NZ) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Move and store stock within the warehouse.
• Pick and prepare customer orders.
• Load goods for dispatch.
• Receive and check incoming stock.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse.
• Assist with manual handling as required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

About The Role

• As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, your responsibilities may include:
• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Moving and storing stock within the warehouse
• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Loading goods for dispatch
• Receiving and checking incoming stock
• Completing general warehouse duties as required
• Maintaining an organised and clean warehouse
• Assisting with manual handling and stock movement
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About You

• To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Previous counterbalance forklift experience
• A current forklift licence or relevant forklift certification (advantageous)
• Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
• A clean Ministry of Justice record
• Good attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transport to and from work
• Good communication skills
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
