Job summary

AWF New Zealand is seeking experienced Forklift Operators for roles in Hamilton and the wider Waikato region. Ongoing day and night shifts across multiple sites offer opportunities for skilled operators with proven forklift experience and a commitment to safety.

Roles include counterbalance and reach forklift work, loading/unloading, warehouse duties and potential general labouring. Applicants must have a current NZ Forklift Licence and can expect competitive hourly rates and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Forklift Licence is required.
• Proven forklift operating experience is essential.
• Experience with reach forklifts is highly regarded.
• Ability to work safely in busy industrial environments.
• Strong health and safety awareness and practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and good attendance record.
• Physically fit for light to moderate manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, and move products and materials.
• Conduct pre-start checks and equipment inspections.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist with dispatch, storage, and inventory movement.
• Support general warehouse, production or site operations as needed.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily productivity targets.

AWF is currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators for a range of opportunities with leading employers across Hamilton and the wider Waikato region.

We have ongoing day and night shift positions available for skilled operators who are confident working in fast-paced industrial, warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution environments. Roles Available

We are looking for experienced operators with skills in:

• Counterbalance forklift operation
• Reach forklift operation
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Warehouse and distribution work
• Manufacturing and production environments
• Forklift roles that may also include general labouring duties

Day and night shifts are available across multiple sites.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently
• Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials
• Completing pre-start checks and equipment inspections
• Following workplace health and safety procedures
• Assisting with dispatch, storage, and inventory movement
• Supporting general warehouse, production, or site operations where required
• Working as part of a team to meet daily productivity targets

What You Need

• Current NZ Forklift Licence
• Proven forklift operating experience (essential)
• Experience operating reach forklifts is highly regarded
• Ability to work safely in busy industrial environments
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks when required
