Job summary

Hyster New Zealand, part of Adaptalift Group, seeks a skilled Forklift / Service Technician for both field and workshop work across Hamilton. You will service and repair a wide range of materials handling equipment, with a van provided for on-site customer visits.

The role requires mechanical trade experience, strong diagnostics, excellent customer service, and a NZ driver’s licence with on-call flexibility. Join a growing team known for safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical field; forklift/heavy vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostics and servicing skills in hydraulics, electrics or mechanical systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Current NZ driver’s licence and willingness to join on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, breakdowns and pre-delivery inspections on forklifts and equipment.
• Log, complete and close jobs with our tablet-based system with accurate records.
• Communicate clearly with customers and identify any additional repair needs.
• Maintain van stock, tools and cleanliness and plan daily activities for efficiency.
