About the Role
Aramex New Zealand has an outstanding opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our team at Taupo.
Key responsibilities include:
To accurately sort freight parcels from mixed parcel cages into dedicated destination cages in a swift and safe manner.
To facilitate the fork hoisting of dedicated cages from receiving transport unit to destination unit as required.
To unload, sort and repack mixed freight cages as required.
To assist in cage loading and sorting functions as part of the general Hub operation.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety (OH&S) requirements.
Ensure the depot inside and out is kept in a clean and tidy state.
Report any damages to your manager.
Minimising damages and delays.
Handle all freight delivered with care, do not slide, or throw freight.
General Hub operations as directed.
To be successful in this role:
Perform all duties as required by Management in an efficient and careful manner.
Loading and unloading of all Linehaul vehicles (including any shuttle vehicles).
Ensure all plant and equipment are handled in a careful and safe manner.
Uniform must be worn at all times during work hours.
Ability to work fast and safely under time pressure.
Adherence to the TLL Policy and Procedures document in conjunction with the Aramex New Zealand policy and procedures as outlined in the Regional Franchise Deed and Manuals (as relevant to the loading team department)
Key Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
A knowledge of NZ geography would be an advantage.
Any training as per Aramex Policy may be required.
