Job summary

Voco Auckland is seeking a smart, friendly Waiter to deliver a memorable food and beverage experience at Auckland City Centre. You will support breakfast service, conferences and events, and evening drinks and dinner, ensuring guest satisfaction.

We value fast-thinking, customer-focused problem solvers who communicate clearly and work well in a dynamic, hospitality-driven team. Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand is required.

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage experience is preferred.
• Able to work across breakfast, events and dinner service.
• Must meet legal requirements to work in New Zealand.

• Prepare and operate the restaurant/bar for breakfast, conferences and events.
• Deliver daily breakfast, and evening drinks and dinner service.

We're looking for Waiters who are smart, considerate and passionate about delivering a fun and unique food and beverage offering! We're after fast-thinking, customer focused problem solvers that take pride in creating and delivering great customer experiences.

What you'll bring

• You've got a good eye for detail - our processes are super important in helping us deliver a consistent guest experience.
• Being passionate about food and how it is presented you'll also prepare and operate the restaurant/bar for our daily breakfast offering, Conference and Events and/or evening drinks and dinner service.
• You'll be a brilliant communicator dealing with a variety of people, so you’ll be adaptable, consistent, clear, and concise.

Skills & Experience

• Ideally, you will have previous Food and Beverage experience
• Professional and personable, with a "role up the sleeves", can do attitude
• You make calm, collected decisions - even when the clock is ticking
• You must meet the appropriate legal requirements to work in New Zealand.
