Job summary

Goodwood Flooring in Auckland is seeking a seasoned manager to schedule flooring installations, coordinate staff and subcontractors, and ensure sites are prepared for work.

You will read plans, measure jobs, liaise with builders and clients, and keep projects on schedule while maintaining high workmanship standards. This role moves you off the tools into hands-on leadership with a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, flooring or another hands-on trade.
• Strong organisational and people-management skills.
• Able to read plans, measure jobs and understand site requirements.
• A full New Zealand driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate flooring installations, sanding and preparation work.
• Manage staff and subcontractors across multiple jobs.
• Visit sites to check measurements, access and preparation requirements.
• Ensure sites, materials and equipment are ready before work begins.
• Monitor job progress, workmanship and quality.
• Resolve site issues and communicate changes to the team.
• Liaise with builders, designers, clients and suppliers.
• Organise materials, deliveries and subcontractors.
• Help keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Report back to the directors on job progress and operational issues.
• Support and lead the team while maintaining Goodwood's workmanship and service standards.
