Downer & Company invites applications for a Fleet Telematics Specialist in New Zealand. The role focuses on day-to-day management and performance of the telematics platform, acting as the SME for telematics services and supporting internal stakeholders, customers and business units while ensuring data integrity and service effectiveness.

You will collaborate with service providers, offshore teams and fleet stakeholders to maximise value, compliance and operational performance of telematics

Qualifications

• Experience with telematics, fleet technology or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage support requests and service issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of telematics data, reporting and system administration.
• Experience coordinating suppliers or shared support teams to achieve service outcomes.
• High attention to detail with data management and process compliance.
• Excellent communication to explain technical information to varied audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day performance and administrative tasks of the telematics platform.
• Act as the subject matter expert for telematics services and provide guidance to stakeholders.
• Coordinate telematics asset lifecycle activities including installations and transfers.
• Monitor support requests, issues and escalations with timely resolution.
• Maintain platform records, device allocations and configurations for data integrity.
• Identify telematics risks and compliance concerns and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with offshore teams, suppliers and installation providers to ensure quality service.
• Support reporting and data governance through dashboards and data records.
