Job summary

Downer is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Wellington to support our Telecommunications operations by coordinating stock, equipment and consumables across the warehouse and field teams. You will ensure timely availability and accurate handling of materials to keep projects moving.

Responsibilities include inbound/outbound stock control, PO processing, inventory record accuracy, and coordinating stock movements with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory management or stock control.
• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Strong planning, communication and attention to detail.
• A current full New Zealand driver licence.
• A forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Managing inbound and outbound stock, including receipting, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Processing purchase orders and inventory requests accurately and on time.
• Maintaining inventory records and supporting stocktakes and audits.
• Coordinating equipment, material and consigned stock movements and returns.
• Building strong relationships with field teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Improving logistics processes while maintaining a safe, organised warehouse.
