Job summary

Downer Group in Hamilton is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join the Telecommunications team. You'll act as the link between warehouse and field operations, ensuring accurate inventory, timely dispatches and excellent service to project teams.

You will work with technicians, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support delivery of critical telecom infrastructure across New Zealand, with a strong emphasis on safety and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, logistics or inventory management.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems preferred.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing day to day warehouse operations in a safe, organised and efficient environment.
• Receiving, picking, packing and dispatching equipment, materials and consumables.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records, including customer consignment stock.
• Processing purchase orders and inventory transactions accurately and on time.
• Coordinating stock movements and returns to support operational teams.
• Conducting daily inspections of stock and equipment before deployment to site.
• Building strong relationships with technicians, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
