Job summary

Halter is seeking a Fleet Specialist in New Zealand (Oamaru base) to maintain and improve on-farm hardware infrastructure, ensuring systems run efficiently and issues are resolved quickly.

You will diagnose issues, deploy new equipment, and work across hardware, product, and customer success teams, with regular NZ travel and an on-call roster. This hands-on role demands practical skills and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electrical work, networking, or equipment fitting.
• Willingness to travel across NZ on a regular basis.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive field-ops approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of Halter’s on-farm infrastructure.
• Diagnose hardware issues and feed information back to relevant teams.
• Provide on-site deployment support and ensure successful installations.
• Be on-call as part of the global roster for tower-related incidents.
• Collaborate with hardware, product and customer success teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Travel within the South Island and across NZ as required.
