Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mine Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of plant and mobile equipment near Queenstown, NZ. You will lead a skilled team, manage schedules, ensure safety, and optimize equipment reliability to minimise downtime.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, at least 5 years in a supervisory role within heavy equipment maintenance, and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems used in mining machinery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a technical team in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and earthmoving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team (technicians, electricians, fitters).
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure safety compliance with all standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on plant and mobile equipment.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Conduct performance reviews and training for the team.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and cost reports.
