Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Delivery Fleet Manager in Queenstown to lead the transport operations and ensure efficient, safe deliveries across the Eastern Cape region. You will manage vehicle utilization, scheduling, and regulatory compliance while driving cost-effective logistics.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in fleet management or logistics, strong leadership, and proficiency with fleet software and MS Office. A proven track record in route optimization and safety training is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
• Proven track record of optimizing delivery routes and improving fleet efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the delivery fleet, including vehicle deployment and scheduling.
• Develop and implement efficient delivery routes to maximize timeliness and minimize costs.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance programs, ensuring roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor driver performance, provide feedback, and conduct safety training.
• Maintain records of fleet operations, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance history.
• Liaise with management, drivers, and external suppliers to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
