Job summary

Qube Ports NZ in Tauranga is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee procurement, lifecycle management, and replacement programmes for machinery across our national operations. You will work with operations and leadership teams to keep equipment safe, reliable, and cost-effective while supporting growth.

The role requires strong asset management, diesel mechanical know-how, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Experience managing heavy machinery, fleet assets.
• Strong understanding of machinery and asset management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.
• Diesel mechanical experience highly desirable.
• Full New Zealand driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage machinery procurement, setup, budgets, and replacement programmes.
• Monitor full machine lifecycle, performance, and operating costs.
• Spec fit for purpose machinery and vehicles to ensure maximum uptime and productivity.
• Conduct machinery audits and inspections across New Zealand.
• Manage supplier and contractor relationships.
• Drive innovation to improve performance.
