Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for our client’s manufacturing plant in Queenstown. You will lead a team of technicians, develop maintenance strategies, and oversee all repair and installation activities to ensure safe, continuous operation of electrical systems.
The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of motor drives, PLCs, and safety standards, with on-site responsibilities at the Queenstown facility.
Qualifications
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
- 5+ years in electrical maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and power distribution.
- Experience with CMMS for work orders and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical maintenance team.
- Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for plant electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical faults and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage spare parts inventory and assist with procurement of electrical equipment and services.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide technical training and development for the maintenance team.
