Job summary

Columbus Café Mitre 10 MEGA Mt Wellington in Auckland is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. This permanent full-time role requires delivering high-quality cafe food and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

You will prepare and cook menu items, assist with stock control, and support the team during busy service periods, while upholding food safety standards and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial kitchen experience in a chef or cook role.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pride in producing quality food and maintaining high kitchen standards.
• Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Chefto join our kitchen team at Columbus Café, Mitre 10 MEGA Mt Wellington. This is a permanent full-time positionwith a minimum of 37.5 paid hours per week. Our café can shift from quiet to busy within minutes, so we're looking for someone who can stay organised, adaptable and composed during busy service periods while consistently delivering high-quality food and service.
