Job summary

Volpower, New Zealand’s market leader in marine and industrial power products, is seeking a hands-on Finance Lead to own the full finance function. You will drive an AI-first refresh, freeing time for analysis and strategic growth, with a January start and a structured handover through the year-end.

You will manage month-end closes, budgets, cash forecasting, and ERP/automation initiatives, reporting to the Managing Director.

Qualifications

Own month end, reporting, cash forecasting, budgets and year end in a small or mid-sized business.
Experience with inventory, landed costs, pricing or margins in importing/distribution/dealerships is valued.
Understand FX and cash flow around large capital purchases; strong Excel and tech literacy; eager to drive AI and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Run month end, management accounts and the board finance pack.
Lead budgets, reforecasts and year end.
Maintain a rolling cash forecast through seasonal troughs and large engine purchases.
Analyse SEK and AUD exposure and recommend forward cover.
Own the annual parts and engine price-file build and margin review.
Calculate landed costs and own stock valuation and provisioning.
Run payables and Xero payroll.
Act as finance owner for the ERP replacement and automation programme.
