Volpower, New Zealand’s market leader in marine and industrial power products, is seeking a hands-on Finance Lead to own the full finance function. You will drive an AI-first refresh, freeing time for analysis and strategic growth, with a January start and a structured handover through the year-end.
You will manage month-end closes, budgets, cash forecasting, and ERP/automation initiatives, reporting to the Managing Director.
Volpower is New Zealand’s market leader in marine and industrial power products, and has been the home of Volvo Penta here since 1992. As the authorised distributor for New Zealand and the South West Pacific, it supplies and supports Volvo Penta engines, drive systems and genuine parts, alongside Humphree stabilisation systems. Its products power everything from luxury motor yachts and ferries to Coastguard rescue boats and mining equipment.
Now under new ownership, the business is building an AI-first operation, and with electric propulsion, battery energy storage and renewable fuels there is plenty of growth to be part of.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be Volpower’s go‑to finance person in a broad, hands‑on role, owning the full finance function. You will play a key role in its AI‑first refresh, freeing your time for analysis, decisions and growth. With a planned January start, you will have a structured handover and overlap through the February year end, setting you up for success.
This is the chance to be the finance lead in an AI‑first business with a world‑class brand behind it. You will work directly with the Managing Director and board, with real influence over how the company develops. Alongside a clear growth plan, the role offers a pathway to Head of Finance.
