Renti Limited in New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Head of Finance to lead a growing technology business. You will manage monthly reporting, FP&A, budgeting and cash flow, working closely with founders and a senior Finance Manager. Build financial models, translate data into insights and drive profitability initiatives.

You will mentor a small finance team and drive AI-enabled improvements to processes, reporting and controls while supporting strategic growth.

Formación

• CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent professional accounting experience.
• Senior finance experience in roles such as Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Director.
• Strong accounting, management reporting and FP&A experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Experience building, improving and independently managing financial reporting.
• Strong cash flow forecasting and financial management skills.
• Commercial acumen and understanding of complex revenue and pricing models.
• Experience leading a small finance team.
• Confidence working with founders and senior management.
• An AI-savvy mindset, with interest in leveraging AI to improve processes.

Responsabilidades

• Own the monthly management and board reporting process, including preparation, analysis and presentation.
• Continue developing financial reporting across SaaS, connections and payments businesses.
• Deliver meaningful variance analysis and insights into business performance.
• Develop reporting for Renti Rewards, including transaction volumes, payment margins, loyalty points and customer profitability.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and cash flow management.
• Maintain short-term cash flow projections and longer-term financial forecasts.
• Monitor liquidity, identify financial risks and provide management with practical recommendations.
• Build and maintain product profitability and unit economics models.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, merchant agreements and commercial opportunities.
• Lead the finance function, supported by an experienced Finance Manager.

Lead the finance function of a growing New Zealand technology business, combining hands-on financial management with commercial insight and the opportunity to shape an evolving finance function. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working with detail, building financial models and reporting, and translating financial information into meaningful insights for management. You'll work closely with the founders and senior leadership team, supported by an established Finance Manager who manages the day-to-day accounting function.

About you
