Job summary

Gallagher in Hamilton, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the Final Assembly team within our manufacturing operation. Qualifications

• Have previous experience in a manufacturing, production or operational environment in a Supervisory or Team Leader role.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships across the business.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools, production systems, and manufacturing performance metrics is desirable.
• Has experience or a strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and waste reduction principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and customer commitments are met.
• Coordinate labour, skills, and resources to maximise productivity and operational performance.
• Setting expectations, guiding performance, and recognising achievements.
• Supporting training, development, and continuous growth opportunities.
• Allocating resources effectively and adapting to changing priorities.
• Championing continuous improvement, problem-solving, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Leading by example in health, safety, and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Stores, and other manufacturing teams to ensure smooth operational flow and customer satisfaction.
