Gallagher in Hamilton, New Zealand, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the Final Assembly team and drive safety, quality, delivery and people performance across the operation.

You will coordinate resources, train priorities and production activities to meet customer demand safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, developing team capability and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, production or operational environment in a Supervisory/Team Leader role.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Effective communication and relationship-building across the business.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our Final Assembly team and drive safety, quality, delivery, and people performance across our manufacturing operation including eShepeard assembly.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll coordinate people, resources, training priorities, and production activities to ensure customer demand is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a pivotal role in developing team capability, driving continuous improvement, and creating a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and customer commitments are met.
• Coordinate labour, skills, and resources to maximise productivity and operational performance.
• Setting expectations, guiding performance, and recognising achievements.
• Supporting training, development, and continuous growth opportunities.
• Allocating resources effectively and adapting to changing priorities.
• Championing continuous improvement, problem-solving, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Leading by example in health, safety, and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Stores, and other manufacturing teams to ensure smooth operational flow and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Bring

• Have previous experience in a manufacturing, production or operational environment in a Supervisory or Team Leader role.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships across the business.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools, production systems, and manufacturing -performance metrics is desirable.
• Has experience or a strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and waste reduction principles.
• Is a practical problem solver who can make sound decisions under pressure.
• Leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and help the team when needed.
• Brings energy, resilience, and a "can do" attitude to every challenge.
