Job summary

Recruit Shop Pty Ltd, a growing healthcare technology business in New Zealand, is seeking a hands-on Installation Engineer to install, commission and service specialist medical equipment across NZ project sites. You will travel to sites and occasionally Australia as the business expands, reporting to the National Service & Supply Chain Manager in Sydney.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to install specialist medical equipment across New Zealand project sites, along with commissioning and ongoing servicing of that equipment once in place. You'll be expected to travel to project sites as part of your day to day work, and to Australia at times as the business continues to grow.

Reporting directly to the National Service & Supply Chain Manager (based in Sydney), some of your responsibilities will include:

• Install communications, AV and specialist medical equipment, including pendants, operating lights and grid systems
• Commission and test new equipment against project drawings and customer specifications
• Lead projects onsite, supervising additional installation personnel through to completion
• Coordinate with offsite Project Managers and engineers to resolve needs and issues
• Provide onsite technical support, troubleshooting and full system testing documentation
• Carry out customer training and support the sales team with your technical expertise

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A mechanical and electrical background, with the versatility to be an all rounder
• 5+ years' experience in building and construction, with strong diagnostics and fault finding skills
• No specific licence required, though a White Card is highly regarded (we'll help you get one if not)
• Comfort working independently and getting hands on with onsite installations
• Willingness to travel to project sites (around 30% of your time, potentially more over time)
• New Zealand citizenship, as you may occasionally travel and work in Australia
