Job summary

FIRST Security in Hamilton is seeking a motivated Field Service Officer to join our local team. This is a full-time field-based role covering varied duties across contracts, with a focus on safety and professional service.

You’ll install and maintain electronic monitoring, respond to alarms and field jobs, and work with clients and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently while upholding FIRST Security procedures.

Qualifications

• A 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm under pressure.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check
• A current COA or the ability to obtain one
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining electronic monitoring equipment
• Responding to field service jobs, including alarms, escorts, lockups
• Carrying out regulatory and compliance duties, including noise control and bylaw monitoring
• Patrolling client sites and responding to incidents and callouts
• Installing and servicing medical alarm equipment
• Servicing ATM machines as part of NCR contract
• Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to resolve issues
• Completing all work accurately and in line with procedures and contract requirements
• Providing professional and respectful service across environments
• Assisting in other areas of the business when required
