Job summary

First Security, part of the Wilson Group, is seeking a Field Services Officer in Wellington for part-time shifts Fri–Sun 1700–2300. You will install and maintain electronic monitoring equipment across courts, prisons and residential locations, delivering professional service while prioritising safety.

Ideal candidates have a can-do attitude, excellent communication, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a valid NZ driver’s licence, plus eligibility to pass MOJ checks and hold a COA or

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check.
• Current COA or ability to obtain one.
• Full NZ Driver's Licence.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electronic monitoring equipment.
• Respond to faults and alert activations.
• Attend callouts across courts, prisons and residential locations.
• Liaise with field support to resolve issues quickly.
• Provide professional, respectful interactions with clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in other areas of the business when required.

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated Field Service Officer to join our Wellington team. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic monitoring equipment for individuals serving community-based sentences, working across a variety of environments including courts, prisons, and residential homes.

Duties:

• Installing and maintaining electronic monitoring equipment
• Shifts- Friday, Saturday, Sunday- 1700-2300
• Responding to equipment faults and alert activations
• Attending callouts across courts, prisons, and residential locations
• Liaising with field support teams to resolve issues quickly
• Providing professional, respectful interactions with clients and stakeholders
• Assisting in other areas of the business when required

What you'll need:

• A 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm under pressure
• Good level of physical fitness
• Full NZ Driver's Licence
• Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check
• A current COA or the ability to obtain one
