Job summary

Halter is seeking a motivated Fleet Ops Specialist to be one of our first hardware technicians in Australia. You will build an efficient operational system, travel to farms, and ensure infrastructure runs without a hitch.

You’ll diagnose issues, deploy collars and towers, and keep remote teams informed with clear feedback. You’ll collaborate across Australia and Halter’s Auckland HQ, helping regional producers get an unmatched start and experience from day one.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is a must.
• Go-getter attitude with ownership and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong communication to translate field observations for remote teams.
• Good time management to complete tasks without heavy oversight.
• Team player with ability to collaborate across locations.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in an early-stage market entry.

• Willingness to travel regularly across the region.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure maintenance: Oversee upkeep and repair of on-farm infrastructure to keep operations running smoothly.
• Hardware diagnosis: Diagnose issues with hardware and feed information back to the right team quickly.
• Deployment support: Deploy Halter hardware on farms, troubleshoot issues and assist installations.
• Field insights: Share learnings with product and engineering teams to improve offerings for Australian producers.
• On-call: Part of a global on-call roster to support tower-related incidents.
• Data analysis: Collect and analyse data from hardware to optimise processes.
• Maintenance system: Build and manage a maintenance system tailored to the Australian market.
• Collaboration: Work with Halter teams across Australia and Auckland HQ.
• Travel: Regular travel with 3–4 days on site per week.
