Job summary

Halter is recruiting a Fleet Specialist based in Palmerston North, NZ, to maintain and improve on-farm hardware infrastructure. You will resolve technical issues, ensure reliable operations, and collaborate with hardware, product, and customer success teams across field deployments.

The role requires hands-on technical ability, proactive problem solving, and regular NZ travel to support deployments and maintenance forHal ter’s dairy and livestock hardware network.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee upkeep and repair of Halter’s infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
• Hardware Diagnosis: Diagnose hardware issues and feed information back to the relevant team.
• Versatility: Transition between repairing/upgrading infrastructure and delivering towers/collars as needed.
• Deployment Support: Provide on-site support during farm deployments, troubleshooting and ensuring successful installations.
• On-call: Be on the global on-call roster to support tower-related incidents and respond promptly.
• Collaboration: Work with Halter teams to ensure alignment and customer outcomes.
• Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges promptly with minimal disruption to farming operations.
• Adaptability: Manage a variety of tasks, often simultaneously, to meet role needs.
• Data Analysis: Collect, interpret, and analyze data from hardware to drive improvements.
• Maintenance System: Develop and manage a maintenance system for the NZ market.
• Travel: Travel within the South Island and NZ-wide as required.
