Job summary

Jora New Zealand in Christchurch is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join the fabrication workshop, delivering high-quality mild steel fabrication across engineering projects. You’ll read and interpret technical drawings, fabricate and assemble components, and perform MIG and flux core welding.

In a fast-paced environment you’ll aim for accurate, well-finished work, meet deadlines, and uphold strong quality and safety standards.

As a Fabricator, you’ll be a key part of our Fabrication workshop team, delivering high-quality steel fabrication work across a range of engineering projects. You’ll read and interpret technical drawings, fabricate and assemble components, and carry out MIG and flux core welding to a high standard.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll focus on producing accurate, well-finished work while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong quality and safety standards. You’ll collaborate closely with other tradespeople and teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to specification.

You’re a skilled and motivated fabricator who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. You bring hands‑on experience in welding and fabrication, along with a strong commitment to getting the job done right.
