Job summary

Trade Assist is seeking an experienced roofer to join its Canterbury team. The role covers long run steel roofing on residential and commercial projects, with hands-on duties and a clear path to permanent employment for the right person.

You'll work with a solid team, rely on good leadership, and enjoy solid hours, weekly pay, and ongoing projects across Canterbury. NZ working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Roofing.
• NZ Qualified Roofer preferred.
• Confident with long run steel roofing and membrane roofing.
• Site Safe & Working at Heights tickets required.
• Strong communicator – good with clients & site coordination.
• Reliable, organised, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on roofing on residential and commercial Canterbury projects.
• Coordinate with clients and site teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain safety practices and quality workmanship on site.

With a mix of residential and commercial projects across Canterbury, we need someone experienced who can jump straight in and get the job done. This is a hands‑on role with the potential to go permanent for the right person.
