Job summary

Architectural Envelopes, a specialist roofing and cladding company in the South Island, is seeking two intermediate level Sheetmetal Fabricators and Installers. You will develop craftsmanship with three years of demonstrable experience and work on European style standing seam roofing, cladding, flashings and rainwater goods.

This full-time role offers a competitive pay rate of NZD 35–38 per hour, with a minimum 32 hours of work per week and shifts Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm.

Qualifications

• At least three years of demonstrable experience in a related industry.
• Intermediate level sheetmetal fabricator experience.
• Ability to travel to project sites and work at client locations.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install European style standing seam metal roofing and cladding.
• Organise flashing orders lists for workshop fabrication and site foreman.
• Position parts and subassemblies for fabrication.
• Operate fabricating machines such as rolls, shears, and folding machine.
• Maintain positive, respectful interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Attend staff meetings and training as required.
• Contribute to the Safety Management System and equipment inventory.
• Travel to project sites as required by H&S guidelines.
• Supervise junior staff if required.

At Architectural Envelopes we are a specialist roofing and cladding company working on some of the most stunning and challenging homes and commercial projects in the South Island.

We are looking for two intermediate level Sheetmetal Fabricators and installers who would like to further develop their abilities and take their skills to the next level of craftsmanship. At least three years of demonstrable experience in a related industry is required.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Fabricating and installing European style standing seam metal roofing, cladding, flashings and rainwater goods, including non-ferrous material, lead, slate and shingles.
• Organising flashing orders lists for workshop fabrication for the site foreman
• Positionings parts and subassemblies
• Operating fabricating machines such as rolls, shears, and folding machine
• Ensuring all customer interactions are positive, polite, and respectful
• Conducting all interactions with colleagues and managers in an open and collaborative manner to facilitate the best outcome for all required tasks
• Attending staff meetings and training as required
• Contributing to the implementation of the Safety Management System and of the equipment inventory
• Travelling to the projects site, subject to H&S requirements
• Supervising junior staff if required
